The vehicle struck the building rupturing a high pressure gas line.
At 12:45 P.M. on Sunday, Nov 24, 2019, Baltimore County Fire units were dispatched to a vehicle into a building with a gas main break in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Rd. Crews arrived to find a vehicle into a multi-story residential building under construction with a severed high-pressure natural gas line. A full firebox was requested along with a Hazmat response. Subsequently, a 2nd alarm was also requested to standby as crews from Baltimore Gas & Electric gas division worked to secure the leak. A neighboring shopping complex parking garage was evacuated during the incident. An additional Hazmat unit was requested from Baltimore City to serve as a secondary command post. The leak was secured in about 1 hour. The occupant of the vehicle was transported to the hospital. There were no other injuries.
